My name is Caterina and I am a Biologist Nutritionist born in Naples with a passion for the sea, kayaking and diving.

Living a stone’s throw from the coast, the sea has shaped much of my life. Beyond Neapolitan cuisine as you can imagine.

During my many dives off the coast of Posillipo, I have always admired the seabed, developing a great curiosity for the peculiar algae, fish and rocks found all along the coast.

Then, I decided to deepen my knowledge starting with my university studies in biology.
I thus discovered the existence of a unique seaweed, capable of accumulating the same nutrients as fish: Omega-3!

In my own small way, I have always tried to be as respectful as possible of the environment and nature.

In a world where the sea and climate is increasingly under threat, taking advantage of this seaweed to provide a sustainable and safe alternative to using fish in the diet would have been quite an achievement.

So, once I arrived at NUTRA-BE, I shared the idea of creating a special product that could bring the benefits of this amazing seaweed to everyone.

We started working hard to figure out the best technique to extract and concentrate the omega-3 from the microalgae Schizocytrium into a high-quality vegetable oil.

After about a year of hard work and a lot of passion, we’ ve launched Nutra Olisear, a food supplement that can improve people’s health and at the same time preserve our beautiful sea.

I hope Olisear will continue to inspire others to follow their passions and discover the hidden treasures nature has to offer.
