DHA is a semi-essential fatty acid of the Omega3 series, present in fair quantities in fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring, tuna and anchovies) and also in some microalgae that the fish eat.

DHA is known for its properties:

  • Antioxidants, biologically valuable for various organs and systems, including the reproductive one.
  • Anti-inflammatory, able to extinguish the phlogistic cascade.
  • Immunomodulatory and antiallergic.

Therefore, a correct integration of DHA is recommended  for:

  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women.
  • Subjects suffering from hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia or with increased cardiovascular risk.
  • Subjects affected by neurological/neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Subjects suffering from allergic/autoimmune pathologies.
